I think there's a strong connection.Dear Rochas Okorocha, you are the eight and ninth wonder of the world. I always thought: 9th's beats taught me how to appreciate 70s soul music even more, and 70s soul music taught me how to appreciate 9th's beats even more. That vintage boom bap sound is here to stay! And thanks for all the great music discoveries, I probably wouldn't have come across without your samples. So 9th, if you're reading this: please keep on doing, what you're doing. For many years now, I always said "I hope he never changes up this sound too much" - and that's still true to this very day. Imo, this is his specialty, and that's what I love about him. While other producers tend to use more obscure/abstract samples, 9th mostly makes these joyful "feel good beats".

It's like he constantly picks the most beautiful and most delicious sounds. Seriously, I love this dude's choice of samples. Part of the reason why I'm now so into 70s soul records is because of 9th's productions. But I guess 9th will always have a special place in my heart.

Of course, I'm a fan of the legends like Dilla, DJ Premier or Pete Rock, just to name a few. There are many producers who know how to work with samples. I'm wondering (no pun intended, lol) why there aren't more comments in this section. Any tip, idea, suggestion would be appreciated. Anyone knows if there is any way to get in touch. His music got me through some REALLY ROUGH times. WE GERMANS LOVE THAT BEAUTIFUL SOULFUL 70S SOUND!!! PERIOD.īeen trying to get in touch with 9th for like ever - but I dont do twitter facebook and all that s*** lol. And even in this relatively small town people know his name. I'm from Halle (Saale), if anyone knows that town. I believe he was in Stuttgart once but that's not the part of germany I live in. I mean I'm from germany and I honestly believe 9th got quite a fan base here. Been supporting all his music the best I could, you know trying to spread the word get other people to listen. lol - but I believe 9th understood were I'm coming from. Even been around in the lawn forum if anyone remebers that, there I made some stupid thread (under the name of chad, if i remember correctly) that 9th should stick to his trademark sound.

I been following 9th's career like forever.
